1. Do you charge for a consultation?
Answer: Typically, I do not charge for a consultation, instead, I conduct a phone assessment to obtain pertinent information and then schedule our first session where I allow time to tour the space, sign paperwork, and take “before” photos.
However, if client requests a consultation only, I charge $70/hr for Professional Organizing.
2. Can you give me an estimate of how long it takes to complete organizing a room?
Answer: I do not give client estimates since this is not a science where a formula determines the number of hours. Since I began my business in 2007, I will say (based on averages) each room is typically a minimum of 8-hours. Offices take longer because you have to touch each paper to determine a category. Obviously hoarding situations require many more hours. Therefore, I recommend the client schedule one session to get an idea of how the process works, see the progress made, and then schedule next appointment.
3. What is the minimum number of hours for a session?
Answer: 4 hours is the minimum session and this was determined so that client is able to see results.
